American Girl Fashion Show Raises $155,000 for Children’s Hospital |
| The 2008 American Girl Fashion Show raised $155,000 for uncompensated care at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center. It surpassed the goal set for $100,000. “We are overwhelmed by the support for this event benefiting uncompensated care at Children’s Hospital,” said Dana Lofton, president of the Star Guild. More than 3,000 people came to the event and Marketplace, enjoying an entertaining show featuring American Girl Dolls and styles, shopping for souvenirs, having their doll’s hair styled at the Doll Hair Salon, purchasing raffle tickets and more. Last year’s event raised $85,000, bringing the total monies raised by the 61 members of the Star Guild to more than $240,000. | |
